That is the story of this review: a strong finish, the complete monthly numbers and a few lessons that a headline alone cannot tell.

The closing four: different matches, different routes

Fiorentina–Atalanta: a draw that did the job

The recorded result was 2:2 on 29 October, and our selection was X2 — Atalanta or draw. Four goals made for an eventful scoreline, but our prediction did not need an away victory or a particular number of goals. The draw was enough. It is a useful reminder to judge a selection by what it actually asked for.

Everton–Newcastle: the goals selection lands

Everton's 3:1 on 29 October produced four goals, clearing our over 1.5 goals selection. We were looking for at least two goals across the teams, not picking the winner. Everton's victory and our winning prediction describe two different things about the same match.

Le Havre–PSG: the away-win pick comes through

The 1:5 result on 30 October settled our PSG to win selection successfully. A large scoreline is eye-catching, but it still contributes only one winning pick to the monthly total. We count the prediction, not the margin of victory.

Casa Pia–Sporting CP: the final entry

Our October record ends with Casa Pia 0:2 Sporting CP on 30 October. The selection was Sporting to win, giving the closing group its fourth successful pick. Together, these four results complete the 44 selections in this review.

Inside the 34: what the numbers actually show

The full list contains three broad types of selection. Grouping them makes this month's football predictions easier to understand:

• Double chance: 13 won, 1 lost — 14 picks. These were the 1X and X2 selections.
• Goals and both-teams-to-score markets: 9 won, 1 lost — 10 picks. This combines the recorded over-goals selections and the both-teams-to-score pick.

Ten misses stay on the page

A good finish does not rewrite the difficult evenings. Juventus drew 2:2 with Rennes, defeating our home-win pick. Chelsea–Tottenham finished 0:2, below the three goals required for our over 2.5 selection. Manchester City's 2:2 against Brighton also meant a losing regular-time home-win pick, regardless of the subsequent shootout.

Those results remain in the ten losses. Keeping them in the picture is how the 77.27% figure stays meaningful: 34 ÷ 44 × 100, rounded to two decimal places. It is the hit rate of individual settled picks, not a profit calculation or the result of one combined ticket. Some selections have no recorded odds, so we are not presenting a return-on-investment figure.
